So today is Valentine’s Day. The day of romance, love, gifts, maybe even foreplay! This day comes only once a year and I am not quite sure if that’s enough. Ok maybe I am.
I have taken the time to assemble some ditty’s I found today that might, or might not, enlighten you.
• Early Christians saw Valentine’s Day as a way to honor St. Valentine. The Catholic Church recognizes three saints by that name - all were martyred on February 14.
• The United States, Canada, Mexico, United Kingdom, France and Australia all celebrate Valentine’s Day.
• Over 1 billion Valentine cards are sent in the U.S each year.
• 85% of all valentines are purchased by women. This maybe a hint!
• Worldwide, over 50 million roses are given for Valentine’s Day each year.
• Men buy most of the millions of boxes of candy and bouquets of flowers given on Valentine’s Day. No Brain-er here.
So there you have it. Everything you ever wanted to know about Valentine’s Day. Don’t forget to tell your Valentine something very special today!
Enjoy!
